At Colgate University, I utilize the combination of my Philosophy major and Computer Science minor to study the questions of moral capacity and sentience that arise when computational models are used to make decisions. A preliminary version of my thesis is available upon request.
Much of my academic work at St. Luke's School was in connection to my STEM Scholars project. As an applicant to the program in the 2019-20 school year, I designed and am currently executing an experiment of my own design with plans to publish my research in June of 2021. My project is focused on using lasers to inject signals into MEMS-based accelerometers and reducing the technology into a portable form factor. The goal is for this device to be capable of controlling devices such as an Amazon Alexa by using laser signal injection with their microphones at ranges in excess of 100 feet. Moreover, worked to quantify the physics principles of photoacoustics as they relate to the membrane-laser interactions.

In the 2020-21 school year, I engaged in a year-long project to outfit one of my school's theaters to be a live broadcast studio and educate a broadcast crew to operate the installed equipment. The space is scheduled to be used for multiple school theater shows, the school's annual State of the School event, and many other concerts and special events. After outfitting the space, I served as Broadcast Director where I coordinated its use and production crews.
During the 2019-2020 academic year, I undertook an independent study in theater projection during which I focused on applying my skills in visual effects and video editing to the theater. During this, I worked on She Kills Monsters, Pippin, and 26 Pebbles. You can view my work, and my final presentation to a crowd of about sixty people, by clicking here.

During the 2020-21 school year, I was privileged to serve as an intern in my school's guest speaker program entitled Lunch and Lead. As an intern, I'm responsible for the coordination and publicity of our monthly guest speakers and interacting with professionals from all walks of life has was an amazing experience.
